On behalf of the Water Protection Association of Central Kansas (WaterPACK), their consultant has provided additional technical comments regarding the modeling supporting the Cities of Hays and Russell change applications, which propose to convert the water rights of the R9 Ranch from irrigation to municipal use for the Cities. KDA-DWR’s web site on the Hays/R9 Ranch change applications has been updated with written public comments received since the June 21, 2018 public informational meeting including this week’s responses by the Cities to the comments received at the meeting.

A public hearing in the matter of Wichita’s proposed changes to Phase II of its ASR project will be held on October 22, 2018, starting at 9:00 a.m. at American Ag Credit, located at 4105 North Ridge Road, Wichita, Kansas, 67205, to be continued on Oct. 23 if needed.
